Having been in the position to need help with groceries — you know how powerful a small deed is to those in need.

I think your guilt stems from the idea that while you give, you are also fulfilling your own need to assuage your fears relating to homelessness.

What you’re not taking into account is that fulfilling your needs while filling someone else’s need simply means you’re doing a good deed for two people that deserve kindness.

You deserve kindness.
