I’m in the fat community, and I refuse to diet. But I totally get where you’re coming from.
A friend of mine in the community started receiving nonstop compliments — especially “You look so healthy!” when at 52, she started dropping weight.
When they further asked how she lost weight, her response was, “Cancer.”
She fought for a year, and by the end, she was skeletal. Only then did the comments stop.
Weight doesn’t equal health.
Health doesn’t equal worthiness.
Keep working on getting free from the chains, girl! You got this!!!
